Fire Week

Another FIRE week. It's been really fun to be putting in extra work in the area.

One of the best things that happened this week was while I was on an exchange with another Elder in his area. And they've been teaching this one guy for a while. We knocked on his door to invite him to come to church the next day and he just opens up about some stiff that he's been going thru that are really hard and he might be kicked out of his house and have to live outta his truck. And I was thinking man what can we do to help him. And the thought to offer him a priesthood blessing (a special type of blessing used by the power of God by a man who holds the priesthood. Which is the authority from God to do certain things such as give these special blessings.) He said sure so the Elder in that area gave the blessing and as he was giving the blessing the Spirit was so strong it was almost tangible. It was really special. After the blessing he was just crying. We let there be a moment of silence and again the spirit is sooooooo strong and then we testified of the reality of priesthood authority and power found within only the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And he said, "I can't deny it." When he said that there was serious power in his words because NOBODY can deny the spirit, and when we feel the spirit testify to us of truth we have to follow. That was awesome.

We had another BUSSIN lesson with Jordan and Jordan. (A couple that isn't married, the girlfriend isnt a member but the boyfriend is) She is sooo WILLING. We went over the family a proclamation to the world and she loved it. She pointed out how the world is going the very opposite way of the teachings of that document and she thinks more people in the world need that document. They are super close to getting married. We taught about the law of Chastity and they said that "It's in the works" meaning he's going to propose to her really soon!!!!! That's going to be such an amazing experience. I know that families are the most important social unit to God and we all have divine responsibilities to contribute to the family if God and our own families.

There is this Jamaican family we are teaching which consists of a single mom and 3 daughters. All not members of the church. They've been going to church for 7 MONTHS!! And we never knew about them, nobody told us. But we had a lesson with them (2nd lesson) it was great they know everything is true just have a few things to work thru and then they'll get baptized. The mom is 7th day Adventist. She really wants the girls to get baptized but she wants them to choose for themselves and she said she most likely will too. So we have a great lesson with them and they are sooo close. It was also cool because they opened up about how before they moved to Utah everyone was telling them about "the Mormons" and how we're a cult and how bad of people we are and telling them very false things about the church and church history and they almost didn't move here because of it. But the mom felt like God was telling her to move here and now we as missionaries are sitting in their living room teaching them about the very things they were scared of and they love it because they feel the spirit when they let truth into their lives 🔥🔥

I love you all❤️❤️
